Vendor Policy

1. Who Can Sell

Any verified SFCSS alumni member with an active alumni profile may open a store on the Marketplace. Each member is limited to one store.

2. Store Setup

  • Choose a clear, professional store name that represents your brand.
  • Upload a quality logo (recommended: 400×400px) and banner (recommended: 1200×400px).
  • Write a compelling store description that tells buyers about your business.
  • Stores are automatically activated upon creation for verified alumni.

3. Listing Guidelines

3.1 Products
  • Use clear, well-lit product images (at least 800×800px).
  • Write accurate, detailed product descriptions.
  • Set fair and competitive pricing in Nigerian Naira (₦).
  • Maintain accurate stock levels if tracking inventory.
  • Categorise products correctly.
3.2 Services
  • Describe your service clearly, including what is included.
  • Set accurate availability slots and duration.
  • Specify delivery mode (in-person, virtual, or both).
  • Include your relevant qualifications or experience.

4. Order Fulfilment

  • Process orders within 48 hours of receiving them.
  • Update fulfilment status promptly (processing → shipped → delivered).
  • Provide tracking information when available.
  • Communicate delays to buyers proactively.

5. Booking Management

  • Confirm or decline booking requests within 24 hours.
  • Provide meeting links for virtual sessions at least 1 hour before the appointment.
  • Mark bookings as completed after the session.
  • If you need to cancel, do so as early as possible with a clear reason.

6. Customer Service

  • Respond to buyer messages within 48 hours.
  • Handle returns and refunds per the Refund Policy.
  • Maintain a professional and respectful tone in all communications.

7. Reviews

Buyers may leave reviews on your products, services, and store. Do not solicit fake reviews, harass reviewers, or offer incentives for positive reviews. You may respond to reviews professionally to address concerns.

8. Prohibited Practices

  • Listing prohibited items (see Terms of Service).
  • Price gouging or misleading pricing.
  • Creating multiple stores.
  • Manipulating reviews or ratings.
  • Conducting transactions outside the Marketplace to avoid fees.

9. Suspension

Vendors who violate this policy may receive warnings, temporary restrictions, or permanent store suspension depending on the severity. We will always provide notice and an opportunity to respond.
